The Student Lens: The Trinity Interview
Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Student Lens series. Today, I will be chatting with Trinity, who has been a consistent student at Elemental Studios and a member of the studio's staff. I am super excited to interview her and talk about her experience with both working at the studio and being a student at Elemental Studios. I hope that you are just as excited as I am to get to know Trinity, so let's dive in, shall we?
Before we get into the interview, let's learn a little bit about Trinity.
"My name is Trinity Darling, and I am 24 years old. I have been in a serious relationship for the last 4 years, and we just bought our first home! I am also a caregiver at a senior living home."
Let's get into the interview!
1. How did you find out about Elemental Studios?
Trinity: "I found out about Elemental Studios through a co-worker I had worked with, and I am forever grateful for finding Elemental."
2. What was your 1st class at Elemental Studios, and how was that experience for you?
Trinity: "My first experience at Elemental, I was at first extremely nervous, but afterwards it had felt like a part of me that I was missing I had finally found."
3. Do you have any favorite classes at the moment? If so, what are they?
Trinity: "I have many favorite oof, that's a bit hard to say, but I definitely lean towards R&B and Reggaeton. I have not tried all the classes yet though!"
4. What do you look forward to the most when you come to Elemental Studios?
Trinity: "When I come to Elemental, what I look forward to the most is experiencing what the amazing instructors have choreographed and connecting with such aspiring friends."
5. Who are your favorite dancers in the community that you admire or aspire to be like?
Trinity: "Some of my favorite dancers that I aspire/admire are Cici, Melanie, Serina, Alejandro, and Fabain have been my inspiration since I first came to Elemental, and their path and way of creating is so beautiful, and their emotions are so passionately intertwined with the way they dance."
6. You have assisted teachers in their classes and even taught your own class. What do you think you have learned from those experiences?
Trinity: "From the experiences of assisting and teaching, it has been a dream come true to be a part of. I have been creating dances since I was young, so being able to teach was a surreal moment that made me certain that I wanted to teach dance. Assisting is also extremely insightful to grow and learn for my journey!"
7. When did you start your dance journey?
Trinity: "I started my dance journey at 10 years old after realizing I hadn't grown any interest in any other sport, and my dad put me in dance classes, and I was beyond excited. I went to a studio called Studio 21 for many years, and I also went to another studio that opened up for a couple of years. When I hit high school, I grew a part of my dance studio, but I never gave up dancing. I did, however, get into a relationship with an abuser and lost myself for a good while. I had gone through lots and lots of healing, and the universe had realigned me with my passion for dance and creating again."
8. What is a fun fact about yourself that you would like for us to know?
Trinity: "A fun fact about me is that I am left-handed."
9. What are some hobbies/interests that you have outside of dance?
Trinity: "Some hobbies and interests I have are journaling, writing, making art, watching anime, and working out!"
10. Do you have any dance goals for yourself in this new year?
Trinity: "I do have a few goals this year! First one being to continue getting out of my comfort zone and being my full, authentic self. Second being that I want to be confident in my creative mind and the Third being able to teach and share my passion and creativity to inspire others to become their best and most true self.
Thank you to Trinity to taking the time to interview with me. If you are ever at Elemental Studios at either the sign-in desk or in class, make sure to say hi to her and follow her on her Instagram at @trinity.darling.
I will see you all in the next Student Lens interview.
