Today, I am here to chat with Alley, a student who has continued to showcase her passion, joy, perseverance, and drive towards growing and exploring new styles of dance. She has been able to show her authenticity through her movements while giving a refreshing and calm personality through it all while attending Elemental Studios. Before we get into the interview, let's learn a little bit about Alley, shall we? "Hey Friends! My name is Alley! I am from Florida, but have lived out here in Colorado since 2017. By day, I am a data scientist in the aerospace industry, but that is boring compared to what I do at night.  Over the years, I've had many hobbies, like swimming, taekwondo, and playing the flute. I started doing Zumba and hip-hop cardio in 2010 and fell in love with dancing.  Over time, I became a Zumba instructor, but I felt like I'd hit a ceiling. I wanted to grow as a dancer at this point in my life....

Today, I am here to chat with Heyling, a student who came to Elemental Studios to find a community, to find a way to express herself through a healing process, and to discover her inner goddess in the process. I'm originally from Nicaragua, and I love photography, cooking recipes from different cultures, exploring new places, and also learning new things. I'm also an English teacher. After surviving a major stroke, dance became more than just a hobby. It became a part of my healing journey and a way to reconnect with my body and build confidence and strength. Today, I am here to chat with Juan, a student who has continued to showcase his personality, energy, passion, and love for dance through learning different styles at Elemental Studios. His determination is very admirable, and I have loved seeing his growth. Before getting into the interview, let's learn a little bit about Juan, shall we? "I am originally from a small rural town in Durango, Mexico. My family and I moved to the United States when I was 7 years old. My love for dance began when I started taking hip-hop classes through an after-school program at my middle school. After middle school, I had limited opportunities to continue formal dance training, but I never stopped dancing recreationally. I tried to take up classes at a studio in 2019, but then COVID interrupted those plans.  Fast forward to August 2024 at the age of 30, I joined Elemental and have been training, growing, and learning ever since!"...

Today, I will be featuring a dancer who has truly defined strength and courage through their dance journey, Charli!.  Charli has been going to Elemental Studios for 9 months now and recently started spreading their wings into joining the diverse and loving community that Elemental Studios has to offer. Charli, like many new students who come to Elemental Studios, has had their fears and self-doubts, but they have come and jumped so many hurdles to pursue a dream for themselves that they never dreamed of being possible.  So, before we get into the interview, let's learn a little bit about Charli.  "I started dancing in my 30s. Today, I will be talking with Mae, who has been a student at Elemental Studios for a while now, and I am excited to be able to interview her and talk about her experience with coming to Elemental Studios. As a kid, she took the classic tap and ballet classes-but her real training came from dancing along with music videos in her bedroom throughout middle school and high school. That self-taught fire eventually led her to pursue dance more seriously in college, where she joined classes, made the dance team, and eventually became the team captain. From there, she was recruited into Esme Dance, performing at Denver Pride, local events, and their annual showcases. Teresa has been a consistent dancer and attendee at Elemental Studios and has been open to any and all styles since attending at the studio's original opening.  Like many of the students at Elemental Studios, Teresa has shown her power, determination, confidence, and charming personality to create her one-of-a-kind dance style. She has assisted with a few classes, one of them being K-pop with Nicki and the 2nd being Beginner Reggaeton with Rocio.
